After a long wait, it’s almost time to meet your baby. Your baby is full-term now.

The development your baby has gone through over the past 9-months is astonishing. With less and less room in your uterus you are probably both ready for labour to happen now.

Many first-time mothers find themselves waiting up to 2 weeks after their due date for their baby to arrive so don’t be worried if you are kept waiting. Your baby will come when they are ready.

Your Body

Whether this is the first or last baby, you could be experiencing a whole range of emotions right after birth, from exhaustion to elation.

If this is your first baby, you may have an overwhelming feeling that life has changed forever. However much you’ve prepared yourself, there will be new things to learn and lots of exciting, and perhaps challenging times ahead.
