Your baby now looks very similar to how they will look at birth. They are gaining weight and storing fat now and their body is getting bigger. Their eyebrows, eyelashes and hair is growing every day. Their eyes which have been closed since the first trimester can now open again.

Your baby is now around 37cm long and weighs almost 900g.
Facial features are fully formed and they look similar to how they will look at birth.
Your baby’s lungs, liver, and immune system can function but are still developing.
During the third trimester of pregnancy, your placenta will start to boost your baby’s immune system by providing antibodies, which will eventually be needed to fight infection. After birth, your baby will continue to receive antibodies through your breast milk.
Your Body
As you approach your final trimester, your baby is developing rapidly. Your partner and friends may be able to feel your baby’s increasingly stronger kicks and movements through your belly.
Aches and pains are common as your body adjusts to accommodate your growing baby. Staying active during the day will help your body cope with the physical changes you’re going through.
If your sleep is suffering, try adding short naps into your routine. They can provide the missing rest you need.
