Prebiotic Mixture scGOS/lcFOS in infant formula
Breast milk is a primary natural source of biotics, for infants, containing a high quantity of Human Milk Oligosaccharides (HMOs). Nutricia was the first to introduce a specific prebiotic mixture scGOS/lcFOS (9:1) to infant formula.
scGOS/lcFOS was developed to help mimic the quantity, diversity and functionality of the diverse pool of HMOs in breast milk1-3

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Breast feeding is the best for babies and a healthy diet is important when breast feeding. A decision not to breast feed can be difficult to reverse. Infant formula is suitable from birth when babies are not breast-fed. It is recommended that all formula milks be used on the advice of a doctor, midwife, health visitor, public health nurse, dietitian, pharmacist, or other professional responsible for maternal and childcare and the social and financial implications should be considered. All preparation and feeding instructions should be followed carefully as inappropriate preparation could lead to health hazards.
