Functional gastrointestinal disorders and cow’s milk allergy in early life (Pharmacists, Midwives & Nurses Education)

Praxhub Education

This module was developed to guide Pharmacists, Midwives and/or Nurses involved with the care of infants up to 1 year of age who have a Functional Gastrointestinal Disorder (FGID) and/or Cow’s Milk Allergy (CMA). The module describes the prevalence and impact of FGIDs and CMA, the diagnosis and management of these conditions and how to assist parents caring for infants with an FGID or CMA.

This activity has been accredited for 1 hour of Group 1 CPD (or 1 CPD credits) suitable for inclusion in an individual pharmacist’s CPD plan, which can be converted to 1 hour of Group 2 CPD (1 CPD credits) upon successful completion of relevant assessment activities.

This activity has been approved by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF) for 1.5 CPD hours. Australian College of Midwives have also endorsed this activity.

The module describes the prevalence and impact of FGIDs and CMA, the diagnosis and management of these conditions and how to assist parents caring for infants with an FGID or CMA.
