Dr Peter Collins

Is a Senior Lecturer in Nutrition & Dietetics at Griffith University and a Registered Dietitian in both the UK and Australia, holding a PhD in Clinical Nutrition from The University of Southampton. His research focuses on detecting and managing disease-related malnutrition in respiratory disease patients. As a member of the Patient-Centred Health Services research group at Menzies Health Institute Queensland, he explores innovative solutions for malnutrition treatment. Peter is passionate about community dietetics and the role of dietitians in evidence-based nutrition support. He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Human Nutrition and Dietetics, is an Early Career Faculty member of ESPEN, and is leading the development of new ESPEN guidelines for clinical nutrition in COPD.
