Cows’ milk protein allergy (CMPA) is the most common food allergy in babies, affecting 2 to 5% of children, with the highest prevalence during the first year of age.1 CMPA occurs when the body’s immune system abnormally reacts to a protein in the milk of cows and some other animals.
