Dementia Australia is the primary body in Australia providing support and advocacy for all Australians living with or affected by dementia. Dementia Australia develop and co-ordinate a range of innovative national programs and services funded by the Commonwealth to provide information, support, counselling, training and education for families, carers and healthcare professionals.

 

Dementia Australia manages the National Dementia Helpline, which is a service that provides support, information and referral services for all Australians either living with dementia or for those people who are just not sure where to go for help.

The NDIS aims to help Australians experiencing disability, as well as their families and carers, access the care and support needed to live a better life. The NDIS recognises everyone is different and has unique needs – so they offer choice and flexibility in the support they offer. My Aged Care is your first stop if you're looking to access Australian Government-funded aged care services – for yourself, or someone you're caring for. The organisation provides information and support, helping you understand the aged care system and find service providers suited to your needs.

DSA offers personalised support for people living with dementia and their carers, helping you understand the causes of any behavioural changes, and how to manage them. They also have specialist teams ready to assist with severe behavioural or psychological dementia symptoms when needed, and offer a free wellbeing program for dementia carers providing practical advice and strategies to help them at home.

You can access nationwide support from experienced dementia consultants 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through their dedicated helpline.
